Even in troubled times, the Gauselmann Group continues to focus on personnel growth: despite the Corona crisis and global supply chain problems, the number of employees at the family-run group of companies rose by 10.7 percent in 2021. On the balance sheet date, the company employed a total of 14,492 people, compared with 13,092 a year earlier. In Germany, the number of employees actually rose by 13.4 percent - from 6,826 to 7,740. The workforce outside Germany also expanded, growing by 7.8 percent from 6,266 to 6,752 employees. To further strengthen its good position on the applicant market, the Gauselmann Group has now joined the "Careers in Family Business" initiative.

"As a family business, we think long-term," explains Armin Gauselmann, Deputy Spokesman of the Executive Board of the Gauselmann Group. "Investments in employees are above all investments in the future viability of the group of companies." A look at the company's job exchange, where numerous vacancies are currently registered, shows that the need for personnel is not yet satisfied. The offer is wide-ranging and is aimed at both professionally experienced candidates as well as students or trainees.

In order to convince potential candidates of the company, the Gauselmann Group is placing even more emphasis on the "family business" factor. For this reason, the company has joined the "Careers in Family Business" initiative, which is under the patronage of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection. "The successes of family-run companies, including numerous global market leaders, speak for themselves," explained Robert Habeck, Federal Minister of Economics and Climate Protection, in his welcoming address.

The initiative was also linked to participation in the 25th Family Business Career Day, which took place on May 20 at Bielefeld-based Goldbeck GmbH. There, the responsible personnel officers of the Gauselmann Group held numerous interesting discussions with potential applicants. In addition to the individual development opportunities in the company, the applicants focused particularly on the desire for a secure job in a crisis-proof environment. "On these points, we have a lot to offer as a family-run but internationally oriented group of companies that is now the largest private employer in the Minden-Lübbecke district," explains Tassia Giannopoulos, Head of Central Human Resources at the Gauselmann Group.
