Having received conditional approval to open its casino in Sydney, 16 months after it was deemed ineligible for a gaming license, Crown Resorts confirms that the establishment will open on August 8.
The NSW Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority (ILGA) has granted the company an initial conditional gaming period until December 2023, with the potential for full certification.
Considering the above, Crown Sydney will open its gaming facilities on August 8th with VIP lounges, 160 gaming tables and 70 electronic table games.
Crown Sydney CEO Simon McGrath said: “We are committed to delivering a safe and responsible gaming environment for all, and Crown Sydney’s restricted gaming facility has been designed with the highest levels of governance and compliance.”
In December 2023, the special manager will deliver a final report to the VGCCC and the Minister of Consumption, Gaming and Alcoholic Beverage Regulation. The report will assess Crown's reform efforts to help the regulator determine whether Crown has returned to a Melbourne casino license position.
