The second quarter of 2025 closed with a GGR of €410.26 million, an increase of 2.79% compared to the previous quarter and 18.60% above the same period in 2024. The casino segment accounted for 52.74% of the total, followed by betting with 41.78%, while bingo and poker represented 0.82% and 4.66%, respectively.
The GGR for the quarter amounted to €410.26 million, representing an increase of 2.79% compared to the previous quarter and 18.60% compared to the same quarter of 2024.
Regarding other main figures, player deposits and withdrawals increased by 23.66% and 28.90% year-on-year, respectively. Compared to the previous quarter, deposits decreased by -0.36% and withdrawals grew by 0.63%. Marketing expenditure fell by -0.20% compared to the previous quarter, while new accounts decreased by -11.64%.
GGR by gaming segments
The €410.26 million GGR was distributed as follows:
Betting: €171.40 million (41.78%)
Bingo: €3.37 million (0.82%)
Casino: €216.37 million (52.74%)
Poker: €19.11 million (4.66%)
The betting segment grew by 2.73% compared to the previous quarter and by 18.21% compared to the same quarter of 2024. Conventional fixed-odds sports betting increased by 24.55%, while in-play betting decreased by -33.24% quarter-on-quarter. Other fixed-odds betting grew by 51.90% and horse racing betting by 3.22%.
Bingo decreased by -6.91% compared to the previous quarter and by -6.41% year-on-year.
The casino segment grew by 6.53% compared to Q1 2025 and by 25.98% year-on-year. Annual growth was mainly driven by slot machines (+33.58%). Quarter-on-quarter, blackjack grew by 9.49%, slots by 6.98%, live roulette by 5.61% and conventional roulette by 0.47%.
Contests recorded minimal GGR and stakes during the quarter.
Poker fell by -25.11% compared to the previous quarter and -25.23% year-on-year. Quarter-on-quarter, cash poker decreased by -5.95% and tournament poker by -32.04%. Annually, cash poker rose by 19.75%, while tournament poker dropped by -37.09%.
Marketing and player accounts
Marketing expenditure in Q2 2025 amounted to €164.50 million, broken down as follows: affiliation €13.99 million, sponsorship €4.96 million, promotions €82.64 million and advertising €62.91 million. Compared to the previous quarter, overall marketing spend decreased by -0.20%. Sponsorship increased by 52.98%, advertising by 5.37% and affiliation by 4.64%, while promotions fell by -6.63%. Year-on-year, sponsorship rose by 311.92%, promotions by 33.21%, advertising by 42.96% and affiliation by 9.64%. Promotions were further broken down into €32.70 million in released bonuses and €49.94 million in non-released bonuses.
The monthly average of active gambling accounts stood at 1,704,178, down -2.41% compared to the previous quarter but up 21.04% year-on-year. The monthly average of new accounts reached 168,284, a quarterly decrease of -11.64% but an annual increase of 11.68%.
