Peru and Mexico have staged two new actions against illegal gambling.
In Peru, Mincetur, through the General Directorate of Casino Games and Slot Machines, has blocked 50 remote gambling and sports betting platforms without authorization.
With this operation, there are now 86 platforms blocked, within a target of 157 actions planned for 2026. In Mexico, the City Council of Tlajomulco, Jalisco, has reported the seizure of 320 machines during the current administration. Of these, 178 have already been destroyed and more than 49,000 Mexican pesos recovered from inside have been destined to the municipal DIF system. The operations are carried out with the participation of the Municipal Police, State Police, National Guard and Army.
