The Axega will be in charge of coordinating the distribution throughout Galicia of the material sent by AGEO, Abiga, Luckia Gaming Group and Comar Group.
The Galician gaming sector joins efforts to deal with the coronavirus and distributes part of the 10,000 elements of health protection resulting from the solidarity collaboration with the
Xunta de Galicia.
On this occasion, the
Galician Association of Operating Companies (AGEO), the Bingos Association of Galicia (Abiga), Comar Group and Luckia Group have made available to the
Axencia Galega de Emerxencias (Axega) a total of 4,000 masks and 700 screens of protection.
The Axega, from its headquarters in A Estrada (Pontevedra), will be in charge of coordinating the distribution of masks and protection screens in healthcare centers that need it throughout Galicia; a material that has been acquired by companies thanks to the collaboration with Exclusivas Iglesias, a Galician company specialized in pharmacy and orthopedic equipment.
Previously, companies and associations in the gaming sector sent 550 protectors to the Complexo Hospitalario de Ourense (CHOU), produced with the material donated by Rodman Polyships, the Rodman group shipyard; and they made available to the Álvaro Cunqueiro Hospital in Vigo a total of 900 waterproof sanitary protectors and 300 hoods, for residences for the elderly in the Galician community.
Also this week, AGEO, Abiga, Grupo Luckia and Grupo Comar calculate that they will make available to Sergas a new consignment of sanitary protectors and hoods.
With this initiative, the Galician gaming sector wants to contribute to the fight against this pandemic and send a message of encouragement and support to all the sectors and agents that actively participate in the front line against COVID-19.
