CODERE Argentina informs that it reached an agreement with the Walmart company so that part of its employees have the opportunity to work, temporarily, in different stores in the province of Buenos Aires. The objective is to strengthen collaborative practices between different sectors that are going through a difficult situation due to the socio-sanitary emergency.
In this sense, CODERE will continue to comply with the payment of the non-remunerative allowance in the framework of the suspensions by art. 223 bis of the Labor Contract Law for employees who join this initiative, to whom the full salary granted by the supermarket chain will be added to the one earned at CODERE, being able to generate extra income. Likewise, this practice will allow collaborators to gather work experience in another sector, which will also contribute to their professional development.
“The company is in a very complex situation, being 100% paralyzed for more than 150 days. Since then, Codere Argentina has put the maintenance of job sources and the employment of its more than 2,700 employees as the main focus of its efforts, and this solution is in line with this priority ”, was stated by CODERE.
Specifically, the objective of the agreement is to temporarily replace 117 Walmart workers who are currently on leave. Employees will continue to have a dependency relationship with Codere, without losing any of their benefits.
Beyond this agreement, from Codere they claimed to be working "In coordination with the authorities and companies from the sector in protocols of attention and service with the highest standards that guarantee the safety of our collaborators and clients and thus be able to resume the activity when the authorities determine it".
