Aristocrat Technologies and Boyd Gaming Corporation have partnered to launch Aristocrat's cashless wagering digital wallet at Boyd Gaming's Blue Chip Casino Resort Spa in Michigan City, Indiana.
According to Aristocrat Technologies, the new "Resort Wallet" feature allows you to place cash on account at the cashier cage, then use your player loyalty card to instantly access those funds on the casino floor.
In this way, it would be: eliminating the need to handle cash in the slot machines or redeem tickets; and, reducing contacts between customers and employees.
Initially, "Resort Wallet" will work on slot machines, and future use of the wallet is planned to expand to table games, restaurants and other amenities on Blue Chip.
Additionally, Aristocrat and Boyd Gaming intend to expand digital wallet technology to other Boyd Gaming properties across the country.
