The Government of the Province of Buenos Aires has published in its Official Gazette of December 31st the award of licenses for online gaming operations for seven companies, after evaluating the fourteen proposals received.
In accordance with RESOLUTION No. 795-IPLYCMJGM-2020, the PROVINCIAL INSTITUTE OF LOTTERY AND CASINOS took into account the following criteria: licenses, experience, financial evaluation, product analysis, technical system performance, responsible gaming plan and prevention plan of fraud.
In this regard, article 2 of the resolution establishes that the companies that were awarded are the following:
- 1.- "ARGENBINGO S.A. - WILL HILL LIMITED S.A. ARGENTINA BRANCH (UT) ”;
- 2.- “HILLSIDE (NEW MEDIA MALTA) PLC - PASTEKO S.A. (UT) ";
- 3.- “HOTEL CASINO TANDIL S.A. - DYNAMO TYCHE S.A. - PLAYTECH SOFTWARE LIMITED (UT) ”;
- 4.- “CASSAVA ENTERPRISES (Gibraltar) LIMITED - BOLDT S.A. (UT) ";
- 5.- "ATLANTICA DE JUEGOS S.A. - STARS INTERACTIVE LIMITED (UT) ”;
- 6.- "BINBAIRES S.A. - INTRALOT INTERNATIONAL LIMITED (UT) ”;
- 7.- “CASINO DE VICTORIA S.A - BETSSON MALTA HOLDING LIMITED (UT)”;
On the other hand, Article 3 establishes that each licensee indicated in Article 2 must pay the sum of 65 million Argentine pesos (approximately 620,000 euros) as a single Fixed Charge. It should be noted that, of this amount, each Licensee must pay at the time of signing the Agreement, the sum of 26 million Argentine pesos (approximately 250,000 euros).
