Mohegan Gaming announces ambitious Athens casino to open in 2026 (video)
Mohegan Gaming has reported that its luxury casino-resort in Greece will open its doors in 2026.

As we reported last summer, the Hellinikon project is considered the largest leisure and gaming urban development in the Mediterranean. It should be noted that it has planned an investment of 8,000 million euros in an area of 620 hectares facing the sea, in the old Athens airport and will include housing, shopping malls and hotels.
Ray Pineault, CEO of Mohegan Gaming, said: "We anticipate that upon conclusion of the contractual negotiation process, permissions and design will take 12 to 18 months and the opening will be in 2025/6".
