William Hill dedicates a week to menopause awareness

The age group over 50 is the fastest growing in the UK labor market and for this reason, William Hill has launched a campaign to raise awareness of menopause, a syndrome that appears at the age of 51 on average.

Despite this data, the first symptoms can be revealed even before the age of 40 and it is a condition that impacts not only women, but also men, transsexuals and people of non-binary gender.

This disease is one of the diseases that causes the highest rate of job abandonment due to its symptoms and that is why William Hill is going to launch policies to support staff who suffer from it, seeking to extend their careers with a series of methods of conciliation.

The company has stated that its goal is to normalize conversations about menopause, pre-menopause and andropause, so that all workers who suffer from it can openly seek help.

The start of this new stage for William Hill is imminent, as they have already assured that in the coming weeks different events will be held at their facilities to put the menopause awareness policies into operation.

"We all have mothers, sisters, partners, wives, friends and colleagues that will experience menopause. Menopause is no longer a taboo topic where women must suffer in silence, and I am proud that we can stand with them and give them the support they need." said Mark Skinner, Chief People Officer at William Hill.
