Philippines: FBM Foundation Donates Ambulance to Baliwag City Hemodialysis Center to Improve Healthcare Access
As part of its ongoing commitment to social responsibility and equitable access to healthcare, the FBM Foundation has donated a new ambulance to the Baliwag City Hemodialysis Center (BCHC), in Bulacan province. The donation was made in collaboration with Alagang Estrella, a public service campaign led by local government officials, and marks the second ambulance provided by the foundation to the medical facility.

The new vehicle will provide safe and reliable transportation for dialysis patients, ensuring timely access to vital treatments and easing logistical barriers for those in need. The initiative aims to further position the BCHC as a model of inclusive and modern healthcare in Central Luzon.
The official handover ceremony was attended by Philip Lim, President of BCHC, and Anj Martinez, Vice President, along with Allan Concepcion, General Manager of 5Seasons, who showed support for the foundation’s efforts. Their presence highlights the growing strength of public-private partnerships in advancing community well-being.
“At FBM Foundation, we believe that access to healthcare is a right, not a privilege. This ambulance represents a commitment to life, dignity, and hope for the communities that need it most,” said Pepe Costa, FBM Foundation’s representative in the Philippines.
The collaboration with Alagang Estrella, led by Mayor Sonia Estrella and Vice Mayor Ferdie Estrella, supports a range of health, education, and social programs aimed at improving the quality of life for residents of Baliwag. BCHC is one of the campaign’s main beneficiaries, offering free or low-cost dialysis treatments to patients with limited financial resources.
This donation reinforces FBM Foundation’s global mission to create lasting social impact by supporting development and quality of life through collaborative action. The initiative also demonstrates how private sector engagement can drive meaningful change in public health systems.
