FanDuel, the Flutter-owned online gaming brand in North America, has been named Official Betting Operator of Formula 1 in the United States under a multi-year agreement that marks the first partnership between F1 and a sports betting operator in the US market.
The agreement will allow FanDuel’s odds to be integrated into Formula 1’s Betting Guide, available to age-verified users, as well as into editorial betting content across the official Formula 1 website and app. The aim is to provide context, real-time data and new forms of engagement throughout Grand Prix weekends.
The collaboration also includes the development of dedicated responsible gaming content for Formula 1 fans, at a time when sports betting continues to grow in importance within the relationship between fans, sport and entertainment in the United States.
Karol Corcoran, Managing Director of FanDuel Sportsbook, highlighted that Formula 1 generates vast amounts of real-time data and that FanDuel’s platform is designed to turn it into more interactive, data-driven betting experiences.
For its part, Formula 1’s Director of Commercial Partnerships, Jonny Haworth, emphasised the importance of having a strong partner in the United States and Canada, markets where interest in the competition continues to grow. The offering will include bets on race winners, podium finishes and head-to-head driver matchups, with new products expected later this year.
