Luckia enters the LEED Platinum elite along with references such as Apple, Amazon, Microsoft and Salesforce

Luckia has obtained LEED Platinum certification for its new corporate headquarters in A Coruña, incorporating the Luckia Building into the small group of buildings that reach the highest level of the international system developed by the U.S. Green Building Council.

The distinction takes on a special dimension if we look at who has also opted for this standard. Apple Park, Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, has LEED Platinum certification; Amazon HQ2 in Arlington has also obtained it, while Microsoft has achieved this highest category for buildings on its renovated Puget Sound campus, and Salesforce Tower in San Francisco also has LEED Platinum certification in its main structure. Luckia is thus placed, from A Coruña, in a league of international companies that have made the efficiency of their large headquarters a visible part of their corporate strategy.

The company began its activity in the new Luckia Building on March 27 and highlights that it is among the first companies in Galicia to achieve this recognition for a corporate building.

LEED, which stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, assesses different aspects related to the sustainability of a property, from energy efficiency and resource consumption to the materials used, the interior environmental quality and the impact of the building. Platinum is the highest category of the system.

The new Luckia headquarters incorporates several solutions aimed at reducing its energy consumption and environmental impact. These include the use of geothermal and solar energy, as well as the installation of regenerative elevators, capable of recovering energy during certain movements of the system.

The project has also been conceived with a vision that combines sustainability, functionality, innovation and the well-being of the people who work in the building.

The international comparison allows us to measure the recognition. Apple points out that Apple Park became the largest LEED Platinum office building in North America and runs on energy from renewable sources. Amazon achieved the same highest category for Metropolitan Park, within its HQ2, a complex designed without fossil fuels in its daily operation. Apple

Microsoft, for its part, confirmed that the first seven buildings inaugurated within the modernization of its Puget Sound headquarters achieved LEED Platinum, supporting, among other solutions, a geothermal system for heating and cooling. Microsoft

In this context, the recognition achieved by Luckia acquires a reading that goes beyond the architecture of its headquarters itself. For a Spanish company in the gaming industry, it means incorporating into its corporate infrastructure a standard used by some of the largest technology companies and multinationals in the world.

Obtaining LEED Platinum also reinforces one of the lines on which Luckia is building its new corporate stage in A Coruña: technology, efficiency, sustainability and transformation of workspaces.

The new headquarters thus becomes not only the company's center of operations, but also a letter of introduction to its business model and a new corporate benchmark for the Spanish gaming industry.
