Euskadi. An ambitious shock plan was approved: Bizkaia aurrera!
On Tuesday, April 28, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia approved an urgent plan for economic recovery due to the Coronavirus crisis. This plan, called Bizkaia aurrera! It will allow 95.5 million euros to be injected into the economy of the region.
Bizkaia aurrera! It is a crash plan that will be activated on May 11 and redistributes 12 million euros and adds another 30 million more for development, until December 31. On the other hand, it contains tax incentives worth 53.5 million euros.
The plan includes twelve economic measures to help the most critical people and economic sectors, such as: self-employed people, people who have lost their jobs, small and medium-sized companies, and large companies.
The Provincial Council of Bizkaia estimates that for every euro invested in this plan, an economic impact of seven euros will be generated. Thus, with a maximum of 95.5 million euros, it is expected to generate 672 million euros of economic impact.
This amount joins the 538 million euros injected into the territory's economy by the tax and fiscal measures adopted in the first week of the crisis.
