 Representatives of the gaming industry in Denmark launch a common code of conduct

 
Spillebranchen, the industrial organization of online gaming providers in the Danish market, published a code of conduct on Friday, July 3, related to the promotion of gaming activities.

On this launching, Morten Rønde, director of Spillebranchen said: “An overall gaming industry can now present a code of conduct that limits the scope of marketing games and reduces the risk of excess. The Code means that all marketing of games must be legal, socially responsible and with special focus on protecting children, young people and vulnerable target groups from harm or exploitation ”,

In addition to a common code of conduct, the entire gaming industry also supports a number of legislative initiatives:
  1. More information on measures to prevent gambling addiction, be it in the form of an unsubscribe ad or separate ads that inform consumers about the possibilities of limiting their gambling and how to seek help.
  2. Game providers cannot use people under the age of 25 in the promotion of games or use any person who may be perceived by the player as "authorities" with special insight into the game.
  3. No game ads up against quick loan advertisements.
  4. Online gaming providers (betting license providers and online casinos) should have an automated process in place that monitors player behavior so that gambling addiction can be actively prevented.
  5. Game providers should not, in marketing, unduly encourage hasty decisions.
  6. Employees must be trained in responsible gaming. Online gaming providers must train their employees on customer contact to understand and prevent gambling problems. In betting shops, the game administrator must be trained.
  7. 18+ for all games
  8. Gaming providers should be able to search for information about a player's creditworthiness in the RKI registry. Gaming providers can use this tool in their own management procedures, where appropriate, to avoid accidental gambling activities (for example, limiting players with significant debt) and to further enforce the provisions of the Laundering Act. of money.
  9. The Game Advertising Board must be a legal requirement. Gaming industry players have launched a game advertising board to provide a good marketing culture and anyone can please for free. It must be mandatory for all licensed providers to join the board.
  10. Reality check on all online games. Players must be regularly informed about the use of time and money. Many players in the industry have already introduced pop-up windows. This verification should be mandatory for all gaming providers with an online gaming or casino license to use.
