On December 15, FEMARA telematically held its General Assembly, where the Annual Report of activities was presented, and various topics of interest to the sector were addressed.
The National Federation of Recreational and Gambling Machine Operators (FEMARA) reported in an official press release that the accounts and management summary were presented at its General Assembly. The latest regulatory developments for which the sector must present a common strategy were also analyzed.
In this regard, the trade body considers that the legislative environment is increasingly fragmented and is currently characterized by a succession of projects that modify current gambling laws and challenge the basic pillars of the activity.
In conclusion, FEMARA highlights that a very difficult year is ending, with many issues to be resolved in all areas that go beyond the pandemic, such as insufficient measures in relation to the gambling rate in certain Communities.
Other deeper aspects were also discussed, such as the crisis of public opinion in the sector, which influences the legislative measures adopted, without the necessary studies and contrasts with objective data.
Finally, the members of FEMARA wanted to express their recognition of the work of Miguel García Campos as Technical Secretary General until last October.
