OKTO and GeWeTe reach an agreement to offer more efficient cashless payment services (Video)
OKTO and GeWeTe, specialists in digital payments and cash management systems respectively, have reached an agreement that will allow them to integrate their systems to provide safe, reliable cashless payment services through Cash Redemption Terminals (CRT) internationally.

As reported in a press release, they will use the latest in mobile payments and self-service technology, as well as advanced security, OKTO and GeWeTe redefine the user journey, enabling a safe payment experience and broader cashless payment options for consumers.
The signing of this agreement allows GeWeTe Cash Systems to expand their functionalities with the addition of OKTO.WALLET solution, enabling Cash Systems to act as virtual cashiers and process cashless transactions between the Merchant System. In this regard, the self-service CRT will further increase the cash handling efficiency of operators with the inclusion of the mobile wallet solution.
On the other hand, the OKTO solution will significantly improve the experience for users, allowing them to pay with the OKTO.WALLET application on the GeWeTe CRT to deposit funds digitally at the gambling or betting venue and, in the same way, withdraw funds at OKTO .WALLET quickly easy and safe way.
It should be noted that OKTO ddesigned the wallet app as an intuitive mobile-first experience, transforming user’s mobile into a fully-fledged mobile payment device. Based on QR Code payment technology ensures that the app is accessible by all smartphones without any limitations. The OKTO.WALLET App is available on Google App store and Apple store while it supports six languages and can be used by consumers across the 30 EEA countries.
Regarding this important agreement, Simon Dorsen, Director of Gaming at OKTO, highlighted that both companies agree on the objective of offering cashless solutions and explained: “We are evolving from advancements like TiTO, that brought great efficiencies and less cash handling in venue for operators, to a complete cashless ecosystem with the OKTO.WALLET that meets the scan-and-go users 'demand while meeting the gaming operators' quest for cashless solutions. ”
For his part, Aristidis Tsikouras, CEO of GeWeTe, highlighted the advantages of alliance not only in the gaming area but also for the retail market. And, he added that they will be able to provide "more convenience, safety and security through an advanced cashless payment service."
