Ross Sewley, Head of Brand and Creative at Sky Betting and Gaming part of Flutter, has published on the website of the Betting and Gaming Council (BGC) some important reflections on the Gambling Review announced by the government and emphasizes the establishment of deposit limits in gaming.
Ross Sewley begins by reiterating the support of Flutter and all of its brands for the Gambling Review which seeks a safer approach to gaming for users. In this regard, he emphasizes that it is a great opportunity to comprehensively analyze actions to protect those who may be harmed by gaming while it will be possible to allow those who enjoy responsibly to continue doing so.
Sewley comments that promoting the establishment of deposit limits among users is essential to help make bets safe and noted that more than half a million of the company's clients have chosen to establish deposit limits, many as a result of their successful marketing campaign to promote safer gaming entitled 'Three Simple Tools', which drove “a 10 per cent increase in the use of deposit limits, an 89 per cent increase in the use of cool-off periods, and leading to 83 per cent of customers using the profit and loss tool. "
Beyond group customers, Sewley recommends that deposit limits be a normal part of placing a bet to eliminate any concerns about over budget. This will require users to calculate how much they want to spend and then set their limit.
