The Directorate General for the Regulation of Gambling has published the 2019 annual gaming report on its website and has updated the online player profile.
Among the most outstanding data is the decrease of 7.20% in the number of active players in Spain, that is, the current figure is 1,367,300.
Likewise, although betting is the segment in which a greater number of people participate (999,802 players), this line presented the greatest decrease with respect to the year (-12.40%).
In the specific case of casinos, the number of visitors has decreased compared to 2018. In this regard, the number of visitors in 2019 was 4,803,828 compared to 5,030,786 in 2018.
Regarding the evolution of the total number of B machines, in 2019 considerably lower data were registered compared to 2018. More specifically, 167,528 compared to 175,293.
