British firm Betfred has bought Betting World, the South African sports betting operator on a variety of sports, including cricket, rugby, and football.
Betting World has a chain of points of sale nationwide and offers betting online, on the web or on mobile devices.
It should be noted that the operator was owned by Phumela Gaming, a company that has suffered serious economic consequences from the COVID-19 crisis and that not long ago had rejected an initial proposal from BETFRED.
