Flutter Entertainment has announced the acquisition of Tombola, a British online bingo operator, for 477 million euros.
As reported by Flutter in a press release, the purchase of Tombola seeks to diversify its offering and expand into an area in which they had had little presence to date. In this regard, the company further highlights that it is the first major operator in the UK to introduce mandatory deposit and betting limits.
Regarding this important transaction, Peter Jackson, CEO of Flutter, highlights that Tombola has a “highly recreational customer base and focus on sustainable play”. Along these lines, he underlines that the "brand aligns closely with Flutter's safer gambling strategy, a key area of focus for us".
