OKTO reports that Scottish operator Fair City Amusements is joining the digital cashless revolution of its OKTO.WALLET app.
The Greek company emphasizes that OKTO.WALLET, open-loop, omni-channel mobile payment app and platform will be available across over 700 venues in more than 1800 machines, enabling mobile-first, cashless, responsible payments to users in Scotland.
Announcing the latest deal, Rob Peché, UK Country Manager for OKTO, underlines that this is the first entry into the Scottish market, extending OKTO's reach from Plymouth in Devon to Aberdeen in the north.
Likewise, he reiterates that the application “is suitable for all progressive businesses in the sector, and it shows how straightforward it is to onboard with OKTO in a compliant and seamless way. Fair City is also unique in so far as it has its own AGC business which will also feature the OKTO solution”.
Welcoming the partnership, Fair City Director Brian Campbell said: "As the amount of cash in people's pockets decreases it's vital that we are able to offer our customers a cashless solution for gaming machines."
He has also highlighted the multiple advantages of the OKTO product, thanks to which they will be able to "offer a mobile-first, responsible, digital, cashless solution to our customers that require it as well as in our own AGC operation".
To conclude, the director of Fair City reiterates the company's commitment to safe gaming and says that it supports "The Responsible Gambling Trust, the leading charity in the UK committed to minimizing gambling-related harm. The toolkit of safer gambling features that are a central part of the OKTO solution is certainly important to us as a family-run business and to our customers. This is an exciting partnership and one which we are thrilled to have completed”.
Undoubtedly, this new OKTO agreement confirms its expansion in the market, improving the payment experience, making transactions faster, smoother, safer and more pleasant for the end user.
