Kindred Group confirms the withdrawal of its Unibet brand from Germany as of July 1, considering market conditions unsustainable.
The company has decided for now to cancel ongoing license applications and cease all operations due to the difficult licensing process and considering the regulation too restrictive.
From Kindred Group, they say: "The current application procedures as well as the terms and restrictions in specific product offerings means that the overall conditions are not sustainable and competitive against the unlicensed offering"
“So we don't see a foundation for long-term shareholder value and customer experience at this point. However, we appreciate that this position may change in the future”, they added.
We must point out that Kindred has been focused on its growth within the North American market, the acquisition of Relax Gaming and its sports betting platform.
