888 warns that revenues for the first half of 2022 will range between €383 million and €389 million, down from €503 million for the same period in 2021. In this regard, it ensures that the government's campaign against online juice will affect sales.
As reported by This is Money, 888 makes this warning before the publication of a White Paper on gaming, which will update the Gambling Act of 2005 to regulate the online market with measures related to affordability controls and maximum bets.
On the other hand, the company anticipates that its income will also suffer an impact of €9.2 million due to its temporary departure from the Netherlands while applying for a license in this recently regulated market.
We should mention that 888 is completing its acquisition of William Hill's assets outside the United States for around €2.87 billion.
