The gambling activity in casinos and slot machine halls in Portugal has been analyzed in the fourth quarter of 2023, revealing significant data on gross revenues and the sector's evolution.
Gross Revenues and Monthly Evolution
During the fourth quarter of 2023, gambling activity in casinos and slot machine halls generated approximately 64.5 million euros in gross revenues. However, these numbers represent a decrease of 15.2% compared to the previous quarter and 3.9% compared to the same period in 2022.
Regarding the monthly evolution, gross revenues peaked in December, with around 22.9 million euros, followed by October and November, with approximately 21.1 and 20.5 million euros respectively.
Gross Revenues from Bingo Games
Bingo gaming, outside of casinos, experienced growth in the fourth quarter of 2023.
Gross revenues generated increased by 5.9% compared to the previous quarter and 3.4% compared to the same period of the previous year.
