At the beginning of this month, the company behind the ambitious Elysium City project submitted all required environmental documentation to the Government of Extremadura. This crucial step complies with the execution of the January 11, 2024 ruling by the Administrative Court of the Superior Court of Justice of Extremadura (TSJEx).
Elysium Corporation SA has delivered the documentation to the Ministry of Finance and Administration to proceed with the final approval of the project. The submission includes the environmental impact study, the comprehensive water cycle project, the electrical installations design, and the waste management plan. This follows the directives outlined in the Ministry’s Resolution of April 5, 2024, and the clarification letter from the same department dated May 2, 2024.
The company met the Government of Extremadura’s requirements within the stipulated timeframe, as mandated by the TSJEx for the final processing of the project. Additionally, Elysium Corporation expresses gratitude for the support received from the Extremadura Assembly, which on February 8 approved an initiative by the Socialist Group, supported by PP and Vox, urging the government to expedite the processing of the project in Castilblanco (Badajoz).
The project promoters also acknowledge the cooperation of the Extremadura Government and are committed to meeting the demands of Ecologistas en Acción Extremadura. Elysium Corporation has indicated its intention to meet with this association to provide all necessary information and jointly advocate for environmental interests.
With this submission, Elysium City makes significant progress towards its vision of revitalizing the La Siberia region, fostering economic development and job creation in the area.
