Aristocrat urges the Playtech board to push harder to convince shareholders its offer was in their best interests, especially after learning that JKO Play will not make any offer for Playtech, which means that it is the only real candidate for the company's acquisition.
Aristocrat asks “the Playtech board to take all available steps to deliver a transaction with Aristocrat that facilitates Playtech shareholders receiving full and fair value for their investment”.
In this regard, the company expects the shareholders to vote in favor of the acquisition at the meeting initially scheduled for January and which was proposed for next February 2.
On the other hand, Playtech has indicated that “a number of material investors have not to date meaningfully engaged about their views on the Aristocrat offer, including certain investors that have disclosed or taken material positions in the company following the announcement of the Aristocrat offer”.
Likewise, Aristocrat confirms that the regulatory approval process is progressing correctly, so the transaction could be closed quickly.
