The Portuguese government recently opened the bidding process for the concessions of the Figueira da Foz and Estoril casinos since the concession contracts for the two casinos expire at the end of 2022. According to the announcement, the successful bidders will manage the establishments for 15 years, with the possibility of renewal for another five.
Likewise, last Friday's publication in Diário da República confirms that the contest allows the participation of international operators.
Within the award criteria of the proposals we must mention the definition of the percentage that taxes the gross income of the games operated (50%), the value of the annual fixed contribution (30%) and the minimum amount of the annual variable contribution ( twenty %).
The period will be open until September 16, 30 days after the date of sending the announcement for publication in the Diário da República, that is, on August 16.
