Flutter Entertainment PLC, a global sports betting and online gaming company, registered revenues of 7,693 million pounds in 2022, which represents an increase of 27% compared to the 6,036 million obtained in 2021.

The monthly average number of players increased by 2.1 million, reaching 10.2 million players, an increase of 26% compared to the year 2021. These good results in customer growth were driven by the rapid expansion of Flutter in the United States and the benefit of the acquisitions of Sisal and Tombola during the year. This has boosted reported revenues and group EBITDA by 27%.

Peter Jackson, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Flutter Entertainment PLC, said: "Flutter delivered strong results in 2022, with an unprecedented number one position in the United States and leadership in our mature international markets. During the year, we invested 60 million pounds in safe gaming initiatives across the Flutter Group and we've seen a significant increase in the use of these safe gaming tools, now exceeding 40% of our player base".

The revenues of Flutter International, a division that encompasses the Group's business in Spain, stood at 1,683 million pounds, 24% more than in 2021. This evolution is mainly due to the acquisition in August 2022 of Sisal, the leading operator in Italy. On a pro forma basis, revenue increased 7%, while revenue from the consolidated and investment markets grew 22% and now represents 76% of the division's global revenue.

In pro forma terms, the average number of monthly players grew by 13% in 2022 compared to the previous period, to more than 3.15 million players.

Regarding Spain, at the beginning of 2022, Flutter International opened its first office in Ceuta. This opening involved the transfer of the gaming licenses for PokerStars.es and Betfair.es from Maltese entities to new companies incorporated in Ceuta, turning the city into a strategic point for the company's operations and future projects.

Elisa Miguel Fonseca, general Director of Flutter International in Spain, has stressed: "We are very satisfied with the results obtained after our first year of operations in Ceuta. It has allowed us to strengthen our presence in the Spanish market and positions us very well within the market through our three leading brands in poker, sports betting and bingo. We face 2023 with a solid position that will allow us to continue growing in the future".
