The general director of Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli Marcello Minenna has signed a decree that establishes "a gradual restoration of gambling activities in accordance with criteria that favor public health reasons."
From April 27, the sale of lotteries will begin in establishments called 'estancos' that did not close due to the pandemic. The draws "are carried out remotely, in any case maintaining the obligation to turn off the monitors and televisions in the establishments to prevent the public from spending more time than would be convenient."
The return of other lotteries and bets "with certification by the Agency's staff" is established on May 4: in this case the draws will be held "in compliance with sanitary security measures".
As of May 11, betting will resume on sporting, non-sporting and simulated events, maintaining in any case the obligation to disconnect and "collect through electronic devices from machines".
