Betsson, the renowned Swedish company that works intensively on its international expansion plan, has acquired 70% of the Colombian online operator Colbet. A similar transaction to the one carried out at the end of 2019, when he bought 75% of Suaposta in Brazil.
Colbet, with the domain www.colbet.co, was the fourth company to obtain a license to operate online gaming in Colombia. Now, it will migrate to the Betsson platform, which means the possibility of offering a site with the latest technology and great diversity of payment options.
On this transaction, Pontus Lindwall, CEO of Betsson, said:
“After the first quarter of 2020, we took an important step to strengthen our position in the region, by acquiring 70 percent of Colbet. This will allow us to access the online market for casinos and sports betting in Colombia.”
