Huge rain and flood damage in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate affected many Gauselmann Group employees. In this regard, the company has announced that the team spirit and the great willingness to help made it possible for around 550 employees to donate 85,000 euros while the Paul and Karin Gauselmann Foundation, as well as the subsidiaries GeWeTe de Mechernich and MERKUR Casino GmbH they completed the amount to reach 95,800 euros.
Lars von der Wellen, Director of Human Resources Central, referred to the dramatic situation and mentioned that even 14 days after the torrential rain, there was still an employee who was isolated from the outside world. For this reason, a donation was organized that had the immediate support of the entire team.
Grupo Gauselmann explained the distribution mechanism used: first, all those affected received immediate aid of 2,000 euros. Due to the enormous damage, 14 of the 19 employees received an additional aid of 4,000 euros.
Along these lines, the company informs that, although the repair of the damages and the processing of the facts will still take some time, the employees of the Gauselmann Group who find themselves in this situation can be sure that they are not alone.
