The technology company Gamban, specialized in software, has announced the translation into Spanish of the solution that blocks access to online gaming sites and applications on all devices and reports that it can be downloaded in all Spanish-speaking countries.
The company has explained that by implementing the Spanish language they guarantee that their blocking software is accessible to as many people as possible.
Gamban has expressed in a press release that this comes at a time when the Spanish National Commission for Markets and Competition (CNMC) has offered support towards new governmental regulation aimed at achieving safer gambling in the country.
In the UK, Gamban works with the self-exclusion scheme GAMSTOP, and the leading treatment provider GamCare, giving those experiencing harm from gambling access to their software for free through TalkBanStop.com. In the US, the company provides its software to leading gambling companies, Fanduel, Unibet, DraftKings and more.
It should be noted that Gamban has also partnered with the Norwegian government's national lottery and gaming operator, Norsk Tipping, to provide their software free of charge to those who self-exclude.
Jack Symons, CEO of Gamban, highlights that “Spanish has the second largest population of native speakers in the world, so this is a really important step in ensuring blocking software is accessible to as many people as possible”. Likewise, he has valued the “overwhelming number of positive comments” from the thousands of users around the world.
