Clarion Gaming, the organizer of ICE London, among other major world fairs, has issued an open invitation for women in the gaming industry to participate in the launch of iGB ASCEND, a new mentoring initiative designed to provide guidance and provide tools to develop leadership skills and gain confidence.
Clarion Gaming has announced that the initiative will debut during a launch event on April 13 at the ICC Capital Suite in ExCeL London at 12:30 p.m., as part of the iGB Affiliate London program and will include a networking buffet with round tables.
Highlighting the importance of reflecting the real needs of women in the industry, Naomi Barton, Portfolio Manager at iGB, says: “The intention is to use the launch event to listen to the experiences of women working in gaming, and in the process. ensure that we are addressing the issues that matter to them and that will help unlock the next steps in their career paths”.
As part of the dynamics of the event, there will be the participation of personalities established in the sector who can share their experiences on problems and challenges.
Likewise, Naomi Barton added that the purpose of the event will be "to create an ASCEND Board of female founder members, supported by an advisory board which will help to shape our terms of reference".
Clarion Gaming plans to promote iGB ASCEND through numerous channels such as events, as well as digital and print materials.
