Entain Foundation has partnered with EPIC Risk Management to educate college students and athletes in general about responsible gaming. It is an educational program involving 40 schools, including all ACC and MAC conferences, as well as individual schools such as Harvard, Oregon, UNLV, and Monmouth.
In this regard, Martin Lycka, Entain executive and foundation trustee, highlighted: "As legalized sports betting continues to expand in the U.S., education and responsible gaming is a top priority."
It should be noted that the Entain Foundation is financed by the gaming operator Entain (formerly GVC) which is a 50% partner of BetMGM and whose sportsbooks include Ladbrokes and bwin. The group recently announced that it would invest $ 137 million in responsible gaming initiatives over the next five years.
On the other hand, AJ Schaufler, associate athletic director of compliance at Monmouth, issued a statement. "These sessions are providing our students with an increased understanding of the risks of problematic gambling, and in particular, its close links to sports betting integrity breaches."
