  • International + 7%; Brand investment and promotional strategy showing early signs of profit.
  • USA + 135%; Position n. 1 maintained after record quarter in revenue, AMP and customer acquisition

The company says that the strong impact of Covid-19 from mid-March 2020 can lead to accelerated sports growth in the second quarter of 2021, and gaming products face more challenging comparisons.

Peter Jackson, CEO of Flutter Entertainment, highlighted the importance of safer gaming in his operations and says that “continues to be a key priority across our markets with new measures introduced including our Gamban partnership in the US and development of the planned Affordability Triple Step in the UK.”

Likewise, he stressed that his business in the United States had a “meaning that it is now twice the size of our Australian business and is quickly closing in on our International division”.

He has also been optimistic about the easing of biosafety restrictions due to COVID and assures: "we remain confident that our diversified business leaves us well placed to deliver sustainable growth going forward".
